Sri Harathi, Psy.D.

Postdoctoral Associate

Dr. Sri Harathi holds her doctorate in clinical psychology and is a Postdoctoral Associate at Resilience Restored Psychotherapy. She combines a depth-oriented approach with skills-based training to help her clients strengthen day-to-day functioning while also working more deeply with longstanding patterns, attachment concerns, and trauma in support of meaningful and lasting change. Her style is compassionate, warm, and curious, providing guidance and containment as well as spaciousness for exploration.

Dr. Harathi works with adults of all ages, from emerging young adults to older adults. She earned her Psy.D. from the University of Hartford’s Graduate Institute of Professional Psychology, completing an APA-accredited internship at Drexel University’s Counseling Center as well as work as a psychotherapist in the counseling centers of Yale University, Wesleyan University, and in community mental health settings. In addition, Dr. Harathi has taken a deep interest in working with and advocating for the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities and has been involved in research settings projects on different client populations including children with disabilities, eating disorders, and incarcerated individuals. She has lead or co-presented on numerous professional studies. She is one of those rare clinicians who has a head for research and a heart for clinical care.

In Dr. Harathi’s own words:

I specialize in supporting individuals facing anxiety, depression, identity concerns, trauma, stress, and life transitions. I have a special interest in working with BIPOC and LGBTQ+ clients. My approach blends somatic/ experiential work with psychodynamic understanding and evidence-informed skills from modalities like CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing, always rooted in a collaborative and trusting therapeutic relationship.

Clients often come to therapy feeling overwhelmed — pulled in many directions or unsure why familiar patterns keep repeating. In our work together, we’ll slow down, explore what matters most to you, and build compassionate awareness that supports meaningful choices and long-term well-being. My aim is to help you understand your experience more deeply, strengthen your emotional resilience, and make authentic decisions that align with your values.

Before joining RRP, I worked in community mental health and university counseling settings, where I cultivated a flexible and culturally-sensitive clinical stance and learned that connection and curiosity are at the heart of change. Outside of work, I enjoy sewing, thrifting, and spending time with friends, family, and my cat.

If you’re considering therapy and want a supportive space to explore your goals, I invite you to reach out for a brief consultation or initial session.
